The latest quarterly newsletter from the Charity Commission highlights their concern that too many people serving on Trustee bodies don’t realise they are Trustees. They therefore do not realise they must comply with charity law and that Charity Commission guidance applies to them.

Trustees are people who govern the organisation and direct how it is managed. Trustees boards can be known by a variety of names e.g. management committee. You do not need to be called a Trustee to be one in the eyes of Charity Law.

Further information on this and much more can be found in the Charity Commisssion’s newsletter. Why not subscribe and you will receive regular updates of new and revised guidance, reports, consultations and forthcoming events.
